Ola Ray sued Michael Jackson
Again.
In a pro se claim in Sacramento Federal Court, Ola Ray claims Michael Jackson, Optimum Productions and others owe her money for appearing as Jackson's girlfriend in the video for "Thriller."
Other defendants are: John G. Branca and Marshall Gelfan.
Ray once lost her case against Jackson.

The Lost Jackson Tapes and Proposed Family Tour

Back in late 2007 Jane W. Moscowitz, in her capacity as court-appointed Receiver of Universal Express, Inc. filed a request on a New York court to get possession of the Jackson master tapes.
Later the court ordered Richard Altomare to turn over the tapes to the receiver. In the meantime Michael Jackson's legal counsel informed the reciver that such titles may be protected by copyright law. The tapes are stored in Miami. 25% to Kingdom Entertainment

(Kingdom Entertainment was Jackson's former partnership with the richest man in the world)

Universal Express Case Closed
Judge Elizabeth Gonzales decided to close down the Universal Express case this Wednesday.
Gonzales ruled on the last hearing that Universal has to delivery 25 lots to Michael, and 35 lots to Janet Jackson of their own personal items.
However the ownership on the rest of the collection is still disputed. Universal purchased the Jackson memorabilia from Vintage Associates LLC. Universal failed to pay the full amount of $3.850.000 but only paid $150.000 to Vintage. Because of this failure Vintage claims that title to the collection did not pass to Universal.
In the meantime two other entities, Winter International Investment and Overtoun Holdings, also claim ownership of the collection. Vintage sued them in New Jersey. It is not known at this time whether those parties will continue to assert a claim to the collection.
Michael and Janet Jackson sued Universal in Las Vegas right before the action went on. The matter has been settled, and the court ordered Universal to send back some of the personal items to the Jackson siblings. Later Universal violated this order. Gonzales ordered them to pay fees of opposing counsel, but those fees were never paid.
Universal agreed to return certain items to Janet and Michael Jackson. However Vintage has intervened in that litigation, claiming that it is the owner of the goods. Luckily this part of the case has been already closed this Wednesday.
What about the rest of the memorabilia? All the items are in the possession of the receiver of Universal (the company is in liquidation). The items are stored in Las Vegas and New York.
It has been confirmed that certain master tape recordings of the Jackson family are in the receiver's possession as well, and in insured storage in Miami.

Michael Jackson Visited London?
Several unconfirmed sources say that Michael Jackson visited London last week.
According to a London court website there was a hearing on July 11 in the Al-Khalifa vs. Jackson case (aka. 2 Seas Records agreement). It was a pre-trial hearing without the jury's appearance.
The case is based on the allegation that Michael Jackson backed out on a promise to record a cover version of an Elvis Priestly record (unnamed). They are suing for $5 million in damages plus the cost of full accommodation and hospitality for himself and his three children for 12 months.
A London Heathrow staff member spotted Jackson at the weekend flying back to LA (uncomfirmed).

One More Case Settled!
Michael Jackson's lawyers settled another court case today with Transitional Investors LLC.
Transitional sued Jackson exactly one year ago because of alleged unpaid fees.
The details are not known as yet of now.

Thriller Casino?
It's been widely rumored that Michael Jackson will open his own "Thriller" themed casino in Las Vegas.
What I can confirm is that Jackson teamed up with "Plainfield Gaming Inc.' this February. Plainfield is a subsidary of an investment company with business interests in several well known casinos.
However it's not clear if this collaboration is about another loan or a new venture.
