New Release: Hollywood Tonight

Just to make some promotion to the new official release, the "Hollywood Tonight" single will hit the stores tomorrow!

This is the second song lifted from the "Michael" album. Features two versions of the song:
1. Michael Jackson - Hollywood Tonight - (Throwback Mix) 03:53
2. Michael Jackson - Hollywood Tonight - (DJ Chuckie Remix) 06:00

By the way I just found out that Dieter Wiesner's "ML Publishing LLC" still releases MJ related "official" matters. I wouldn't be surprised if the recent lawsuit against Wiesner would have something to do with the MJ Estate. As they have mentioned in a previous court document that they pursuaded legal actions both in Germany and Japan in intellectual property issues.

  2. Interesting. Could it be about the MJ Logo? We were discussing it today and it seems like MJ lost the rights to the logo in Germany and a company affiliated with Weisner and Joe Jackson is planning on releasing several items with that logo on them.

  3. Hi,

Ivy: the HIStory MJ logo is owned by a company called TePax. They just renewed these rights, but other than owning that logo they don't have anything else. Like they can't connect that logo to MJ in any ways.

What company you were talking about?

  4. apparently they sold it or leased it to UD-Group at September 2010.

Watch this video items they are planning to sell starts at 2:50. Also at 1:30 look carefully to Joe's jacket. It looks like the label has an image of Michael. I also see the use of King of Pop and Michael's image from TII with wings on the background of ice cream and lollipops

  5. Interesting.

The HIStory MJ logo is still owned by TePax, so they might license it to UD Group International. According to the German trademark office, there was an attemtp from third parties, that has been cancelled this March.

The jacket Joe Jackson had on was from the Japanese Wakita collection.

This is another attempt (a careful one this time) to use MJ's likeness. Still I have doubts he will be let go forward with this.

  6. Leslie, I had to sign up with Google before I could blog. It wasn’t that way before.

Joe Jackson is selling champagne, ice cream, jellys, suckers, cosmetics, jewelry, clothing, vodka and parfum from Neverland. Here’s his website: http://www.jwjackson.com/

Joe is using Michael’s name, songs, and video clips in his business ventures. The MJ Estate owns the rights to everything Michael Jackson.

Michael told a story to Shumley Boteach how Joe Jackson had Michael get naked, then oiled him down, held him up-side-down and whipped him all over with an ironing cord. Joe would slam his children into walls. Michael stated that he was physically and emotionally abused during incessant rehearsals, and admitted that he had often cried from loneliness and he would vomit on the sight of his father. Michael said “Joseph sat in a chair with a belt in his hand as he and his siblings rehearsed, and that "if you didn't do it the right way, he would tear you up, really get you".

Michael left Joseph out of his Will/Trust for a reason. I do not and never will support a child abuser. Joe Jackson is not a popular man in the United States. For him to make money off his deceased son is a tragedy.

  8. @susan, thank you (I think) for that link on Joe Jackson's business dealings in Thailand and Vietnam. Breaking ground for "Happyland" in Vietman? The website has a contact link to "book" Joe for an event. Now Katherine is selling flowers and Joe is travelling the world selling champagne and, oh yeah, Michael "tidbits" while the man charged in the death of their son awaits trial in ten days.
